Apple and Doncaster Inc., the makers of a new phone ad platform, said on Wednesday that they have signed an agreement to use their technology to sell ads to mobile carriers.
Doncaster said the partnership with Apple will allow the companies to provide ad space for mobile operators on the Apple Watch, Apple TV, iPhones and other Apple devices.
The companies said the agreement is expected to be finalised in the first quarter of 2020.
The partnership comes at a time when advertisers are turning to technology to push their content onto smartphones and tablets, as consumers become increasingly mobile-focused.
The technology could have an even greater impact if Apple decides to expand its reach to its own hardware products, analysts said.
Apple declined to comment on the deal.
