By the time you read this, many of you have already signed up for Adblock Plus, or Adblock, or one of the other options available.
The problem is, those apps don’t necessarily block ads.
They just block ads based on what you’ve already set up, according to the latest statistics from the ad tech company comScore.
The most recent data from ComScore shows that in 2017, the top three ad blocking apps for the U.S. were Adblock+, AdblockPlus and OptinPop.
(ComScore does not track how many users are using those apps.)
ComScore found that in 2016, only 6% of people used Adblock+ or AdBlock Plus, while 29% of users used Optin Pop, which is also called Adblock.
(For context, that number is slightly higher than the 15% in 2016.
ComScore’s data is from January through September 2017.)
Comcast and Verizon both provide free versions of Adblock plus and AdblockPop, but only in a limited amount of markets.
The most popular market for the apps was in the U: In North America, it was in China, followed by India and Brazil.
In the U and Europe, it’s in the United Kingdom, Spain and Germany.
(Those markets are mostly in North America.)

ComScore says the three apps are based on the idea that people don’t want to see ads on the web.
(A company called AdBlockPlus says it doesn’t do that.)
That idea has been around for years.
It’s been argued that people want to have the same experience they have with a website, with no ads.
That’s why the apps are free: Because the apps aren’t paid to show ads, which means the apps don.
Comptiq, the company that created Adblock and AdBlock, said it only charges for the time that ads are blocked.
(This is different from the way that the apps work, where they charge for ads that are already blocking.)
“Ad blocking is a business model that has existed for decades,” Comptiy told me.
“The only difference is now it’s being used to stop fraud and abuse, rather than the other way around.”
That’s the same argument that many other ad blockers make, including those that block content on YouTube.
And many advertisers are using the ad blocker companies to get around their ad blockers, such as AdblockMe, which blocks video ads, and Ad Block Plus, which lets people pay for ads without seeing them.
Comptiq and Optintip have said that they’re in the process of shutting down those apps.
Comscore’s data isn’t necessarily bad news.
The company said in its report that people who use ad blockers typically are the ones who pay.
But if you are one of those people who uses those apps, you may want to think about how your data is being used, and whether your data has been targeted by ad blockers.

It lets you block ads from websites, social networks and search engines.
It doesn’t block content, which allows people to view ads and avoid seeing them, but it’s not perfect either.
For example, it can block some video ads that would normally be displayed on the site.
The app is free and offers ads for free in countries where those ads are legal.
AdblockPlus does block some ads, but those ads aren’t as intrusive as ads from Google and YouTube.
(They still appear in Google search results, for example.)
OptinPop:Optin Pop is another ad blocker, which can block ads on mobile apps.
The ad blocker doesn’t show ads on YouTube and doesn’t use Adblock to block content.
The only way you can block these ads is if you use AdBlock Pro or Optin.
It will also block Google AdSense ads, so you don’t see them on Google search or in mobile apps unless you use Google AdBlock.
The price for AdBlock is $2.99 per month.
Optin is one part of the Adblock Pro and Optinsum platform, and it is free to users in the following markets: the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
OptiPop is one way to block ads, as the company doesn’t specifically say that it blocks ads, only that it’s blocking them.
It does, however, block Google ad search ads that Google uses to make money.
